Women in Photography

Edition 2 | 2026

The ZiiP Foundation is pleased to announce the second edition of
Women in Photography (WiP), scheduled to take place in mid-2026.

Keeping the Momentum Going

The first edition of Women in Photography brought together 25 Indian women photographers and was presented through an international exhibition in Europe, accompanied by a curated publication.

The edition enabled public and institutional visibility for the participating photographers, situating their work within international cultural contexts and extending its reach through exhibitions, published archival material, and professional networks. The inaugural edition established Women in Photography as a curatorially driven initiative with a clear long-term vision.

Women in
Photography – Edition 2

WiP 2026 is conceived as a carefully developed international platform that brings together Indian women photographers whose practices demonstrate depth, clarity of vision, and engagement with the medium.

The edition aims to create meaningful visibility for photographic work—not just by displaying it, but by placing it within wider cultural and institutional contexts. This allows participating photographers to engage with global audiences and key voices from the photography and arts community.

Edition 2 continues WiP’s long-term commitment to enabling recognition that extends beyond a single moment or event, contributing instead to a photographer’s evolving professional trajectory.

  • Selection of 25 Indian women photographers through a shortlisting and curatorial process
  • International exhibition presented at a European cultural institution
  • Limited-run, premium publication featuring selected works
  • Visibility before international curators and institutional directors
  • Engagement with global cultural and professional networks
  • Archival documentation of work within an institutional framework
